Pedro Caixinha: Michael O'Halloran is not my type of player

Rangers boss Pedro Caixinha insists there will be no January return to Ibrox for loanee Michael O'Halloran.

The 26-year-old has been in red hot form to start the new campaign, netting four goals in St Johnstone’s three Premiership victories to this point.

Considering Rangers’ continued struggles, the Portuguese head coach was asked if there was any chance of O’Halloran coming back to the squad once his St Johnstone loan was finished in January.

Caixinha, though, was unequivocal in his response, saying: “He is not my type of player. He is not the type of player Rangers need.

“I wish all the players who left all the best. They are not our players any more. It is a totally different situation to wear this badge.”
