A hospital had double the usual number of patients attending its accident and emergency department overnight after ecstatic football fans celebrated Leicester City winning the Premier League title.

Leicester Royal Infirmary asked people who do not need emergency treatment to call for healthcare advice instead following the influx of people arriving for medical help.
