The Women’s Euros final was decided by England superstar Chloe Kelly’s once again, as the Arsenal forward blasted home the winning penalty in the shootout win over Spain on penalties following a tense 1-1 draw in Zurich.
Tournament favourites Spain had taken the lead in the Swiss capital through Mariona Caldentey after 25 minutes, however, Sarina Wiegman’s squad roared back to take the game into extra-time through a superb Alessia Russo header just before the hour mark.
England win means head coach Wiegman has now clinched an astonishing third Women’s Euros title in succession, following her victories with the Netherlands in 2017, and the Lionesses in 2022. But which nation has the most Women’s Euro wins in history?
Here is the full list of each nation to win the Women’s European Championships, when they won it and their last Euros victory:

5. Norway - 2 (1987, 1993)
Two time winners of the Women's Euros, the Norwegian's won their first trophy by defeating Sweden 2-1 during the 1987 tournament, and broke Italian hearts six years later, beating the hosts 1-0 in the 1993 final. They've taken part in six finals in total, and are the nation that has lost the most Women's Euros finals, with a total of four final defeats (1989, 1991, 2005, 2013). | NTB/AFP via Getty Images Photo: Getty Images

6. England - 2 (2022, 2025)
The Lionesses won their first Women's Euro champions just three years ago, beating Germany in the 2022 final at Wembley. Their penalty shootout victory over Spain this summer means they are one of only two nations to win the tournament back-to-back. | Getty Images Photo: Getty Images

7. Germany - 8 (1989, 1991, 1995, 1997, 2001, 2005, 2009, 2013)
Far and away the most successful team in Women's Euros history is Germany, who have won the trophy an astonishing eight times, though their 1989 success was as West Germany. They haven't tasted victory for 15 years though, despite their previous successes, last winning the tournament in 2013 with a 6-2 victory over England in Sweden. | Getty Images Photo: Getty Images
