How to watch Scotland v Morocco
Scotland will bid to make World Cup history when they face Morocco on Friday night.
Never before has Scotland reached the knockout stages of a major tournament but Steve Clarke’s side will progress to the last 32 with a victory at Boston Stadium.
After opening Group C with a 1-0 win over Haiti on Sunday, beating the the much-fancied Moroccans at the same venue would move Scotland onto six points and secure qualification.
A draw would also put Scotland on the brink of the next round, with four points expected to be enough to claim, at worst, one of the eight best third place finishes up for grabs.
Scotland are the underdogs against a Morocco side ranked seventh in the world and that held six-time World Cup winners Brazil to a 1-1 draw in their opening match.
The sides have only met once before – at the 1998 World Cup – where Morocco beat Scotland 3-0.

Scotland v Morocco team news
Scott McKenna could return to the Scotland squad after the Dinamo Zagreb defender missed the win over Haiti with a calf strain. Other than Billy Gilmour, who was forced to withdraw from the Scotland squad on the eve of the tournament, there are no other injury concerns.
Morocco have no new injury concerns following their match against Brazil although news broke on the day of the game that captain Achraf Hakimi will stand trial in France for an alleged rape. The Paris Saint-Germain defender has denied the allegations. It comes after a woman accused Hakimi, 27, of raping her at his home in the French capital in 2023, when she was aged 24. The public prosecutor's office in Nanterre, a western suburb of Paris, began a preliminary investigation in March 2023. The court confirmed on Friday that the trial will go ahead, although a start date has not been announced.
Scotland v Morocco referee and VAR
Uzbek referee Ilgiz Tantashev has been appointed as the referee for Scotland's Group C clash with Morocco. The 42-year-old has never refereed a Scotland match before, or a game involving a Scottish club side. He took charge of the 2024 Summer Olympics men's semi-final between Morocco and Spain and has been a prominent fixture in the AFC Champions League.
Armando Villarreal from the United States has been appointed Video Assistant Referee (VAR).
