What channel is Scotland Under-21s vs Bulgaria on? TV, live stream details for opening qualifying clash
Full details ahead of Under-21 European Championship qualifying clash between Scotland and Bulgaria this week.
Scotland Under-21s will look to end their European Championship qualifying campaign on a high against Bulgaria after winning their first match under new head coach Tony Docherty last week.
The young Scots demolished Azerbaijan 5-2 at Rugby Park last week thanks to a Barney Stewart brace, coupled with strikes from James Wilson, Tyler Fletcher and Bobby Wales, although Czechia’s 1-0 win against Bulgaria in the lead-up to the match rendered Docherty’s side unable to qualify for a playoff berth with just one game left to play.
Despite the disappointment of failing to qualify, Scotland Under-21s put on a fine show in Kilmarnock and will now look to make it back-to-back wins when they head to Bulgaria on Tuesday night.
“I challenged the players before the game to try and create an identity of the Under 21s group and I think they did that,” said Docherty. after the game. “They did brilliantly. I came back with those two, with James and Findlay and we created a wee leadership group, and they’ve been instrumental. The attitude and the togetherness of the squad, along with Fletch [Tyler Fletcher] has been brilliant. There are others that I’d put in that as well. They deserve huge credit.”
