What channel is Luxembourg v Scotland on? TV details, live stream for Women's World Cup qualifier

Full details ahead of the Women’s World Cup qualifying opener between Luxembourg and Scotland.

Scotland will begin their Women’s World Cup 2027 qualifying campaign with a visit to Luxembourg this week as Melissa Andreatta looks to build on her promising start as the nation’s head coach.

The Australian boss is approaching a year in charge of the women’s national team after being appointed last April, she has lost just two of her first six games, and is hoping to lead her team to only the third major tournament in their history, having been drawn in qualifying Group B4 against Belgium and Israel.

The first time the nations have met, Scotland head into the game on the back of a 3-2 win over China PR and a 1-1 draw with Ukraine in November, while the hosts picked up a morale-boosting 3-0 win over Cyprus in their last outing. Real Madrid playmaker Caroline Weir has been confirmed as the team’s new captain following the retirement of Rachel Corsie last year, with Chelsea midfielder Erin Cuthbert installed as vice-captain.

“There’s definitely an excitement as we get closer to matchday,” said Andreatta ahead of the game. “The conditions are good over here in Luxembourg - the sun is shining which made for a great final session today and we’re all looking forward to the match. It’s been a super competitive week in training and it’s going to take all 23 players to put their best foot forward.

“We want to attack each moment with the right mindset and if we do that we’ll get to where we want to be. Luxembourg will test us in a different way. They are a very technical team, but we’ll be looking to use our qualities to nullify them. We need to play our way with aggression and on the front foot. We want to keep building on the performances that we’ve seen so far. We need to go for it and back ourselves.”
