Scotland posted their first win of this World Cup qualifying campaign with a 2-0 win over Belarus in Hungary.
The Scots built on their impressive performance away to Denmark on Friday, when they drew 0-0 in Copenhagen, by prevailing over the Belarussians at an eerie ZTE Arena in Zalaegerszeg, with the game being played behind closed doors at a neutral venue.
Scotland took their time in breaking down the hosts, but eventually snapped the deadlock on 43 minutes when Che Adams slid in to convert from close range after a header across goal from Scott McTominay.
The game was sealed on 65 minutes when Belarus defender Zakhar Volkov poked the ball past his own keeper after Billy Gilmour headed an excellent Adams through-ball across goal.
Scotland now have four points in Group C ahead of facing Greece on October 9 and then Belarus on October 12, both back at Hampden Park.
5. Andy Robertson
The captain once again patrolled the left flank and looked to support Gannon-Doak whenever the Scots went on the offensive. Had one slack back-pass that Gunn would not thank him for, and the hosts tried to go over the top of him on a few occasions. Like the rest of the defence, showed up fine. 7 | PA
6. Billy Gilmour
Restored to the starting XI and controlled the midfield. Had Scotland's first shot on target on 17 minutes and then had an effort turned fortuitously on to the post by an unorthodox save. His header across goal midway through the second half forced Volkov to head in an own goal and seal the deal. A classy performance. Came off for McLean late on. 8 | PA
7. Lewis Ferguson
Tasked with adding ballast to the midfield and did a quietly effective job. On the end of a very aggressive tackle on 52 minutes from Kalinin that could easily have been a red. Did not let that moment derail a neat performance. 7 | PA
8. John McGinn
Was in the thick of most of Scotland's good work, Outstanding cross into McTominay engineered the opening goal. He was winning his 79th cap and it doesn't matter where he plays for the national team - he more often that not does a good job. This night in Hungary was no exception. 8 | PA
