Scotland signed off this four-match Nations League window with a damaging 2-1 defeat by Slovenia at Hampden.
Despite leading at the interval, Scotland let the lead slip against the Slovenians, who were deserved victors in Glasgow. The result leaves Sebastien Pocognoli's side third in League B1, three points off the Slovenians in second place.
The Scots now face an uphill task if they are to finish second in the standings and secure a second-seed berth in December's Euro 2028 draw. Hopes of finishing top of the group have already been extinguished after leaders Switzerland comfortably defeated North Macedonia 3-0 at home.
Scotland are still searching for their first home win under Pocognoli as his team looked open and fatigued as Slovenia seized upon them.
Ryan Christie showed intelligence to put Scotland ahead on 32 minutes with the hosts' first shot on target, but Pocognoli's men were unable to build on that lead.
Slovenia rallied after the break and levelled on 56 minutes when Aljosa Matko slotted home and then the visitors found a winner on 72 minutes when Danijel Sturm prodded home after a cutback.
We give each Scotland player a mark out of ten for their performance at Hampden.

9. John McGinn
Plenty of industry but much like the rest of the midfielders, looked fatigued by the number of matches played. Came off for Ure towards the end as Scotland threw more men forward. 4 | PA

10. Ryan Christie
Showed brilliant imagination to backheel a loose ball into the net from close range. The goal should have given Scotland impetus, but it didn't. The Bournemouth man's heavy control from a throw-in was seized upon by Slovenia for the leveller. Cap No 75 for the midfielder, who was replaced as the hosts tried to find a way back into the game. 6 | SNS Group

11. Oli McBurnie
Twenty caps, zero goals. Or four caps, zero goals if we are being kind and judging the Hull man, as we should, on his second international career. Once again, McBurnie worked hard and showed some nice link-up play. But Scotland were timid in the final third with him leading the line on his own. Will lament not scoring from close range with his head after Hendry hit the post - even if Christie eventually converted. Came off for Bowie. 4 | SNS Group

12. Aaron Hickey
Pocognoli turned to the Brentford man when he converted to a back four. It coincided with Slovenia's most assertive period of the match. 2 | SNS Group
