Scotland signed off this four-match Nations League window with a damaging 2-1 defeat by Slovenia at Hampden.
Despite leading at the interval, Scotland let the lead slip against the Slovenians, who were deserved victors in Glasgow. The result leaves Sebastien Pocognoli's side third in League B1, three points off the Slovenians in second place.
The Scots now face an uphill task if they are to finish second in the standings and secure a second-seed berth in December's Euro 2028 draw. Hopes of finishing top of the group have already been extinguished after leaders Switzerland comfortably defeated North Macedonia 3-0 at home.
Scotland are still searching for their first home win under Pocognoli as his team looked open and fatigued as Slovenia seized upon them.
Ryan Christie showed intelligence to put Scotland ahead on 32 minutes with the hosts' first shot on target, but Pocognoli's men were unable to build on that lead.
Slovenia rallied after the break and levelled on 56 minutes when Aljosa Matko slotted home and then the visitors found a winner on 72 minutes when Danijel Sturm prodded home after a cutback.
We give each Scotland player a mark out of ten for their performance at Hampden.

1. Angus Gunn
Left cruelly exposed for both Slovenia goals by an open backline in front of him. Quick off his line to deal with any crosses or through balls. The keeper has come under some scrutiny in this international break but fared okay here. 5 | AFP via Getty Images

2. Stephen Welsh
Started the game well and appeared secure, but as time wore on, Slovenia made the Scotland defence look ragged. Was replaced at 1-1 when Pocognoli decided to go to a back four. Has shown up pretty well over this international break. 6 | SNS Group

3. Jack Hendry
Restored to the starting XI after missing North Macedonia due to suspension. Positioned himself really well to clear off the goalline and deny Slovenia an opener. Started to fray as Slovenia turned on the taps in the second period. 5 | PA

4. Luis Binks
The left-sided centre-half was an aggressive presence in the Scotland defence, always looking to engage with the Slovenian forward players. Was booked in the second period for an over-zealous challenge but was probably one of the more reliable Scotland defenders. 5 | Getty Images
