The Scotland national team return to action in just over four weeks as Steve Clarke’s side begin their World Cup preparations by taking on both Japan and Ivory Coast next month.
Ahead of the pre-tournament friendlies, the 62-year-old head coach has several injury concerns, with the likes of John McGinn, Ben Gannon-Doak, and Lawrence Shankland all missing games for their respective club sides in recent months, alongside many others.
It is not all bad news, though, with Billy Gilmour returning to action with Napoli in recent weeks, while others have declared themselves ready to go for Scotland’s World Cup adventure in the Americas in four months' time.
Here we detail every injury concern Scotland currently has, their expected return date and their chances of being fit and available for the summer World Cup.

9. Billy Gilmour - Napoli
Made his return after a 10-week layoff as a late substitute in Napoli's 2-2 draw with Roma on February 15, didn't feature off the bench in their recent game against Atalanta, but made another substitute appearance against Hellas Verona at the weekend. Expected return date: Fit and available, but needs minutes to get back up to speed. | SNS Group Photo: SNS Group

10. Max Johnston - Derby County
Has missed the last four months of football after tearing his hamstring against Queens Park Rangers. The full-back is a huge doubt for next month's friendlies, and will hope he can be fit enough to make an impact in the closing weeks of the season. Expected return date: Pencilled in for a mid-March return, though his club are likely to play it safe with him after a long spell out. | Getty Images

11. Che Adams - Torino
Picked up a strain on his soleus muscle in his right calf last week, and Torino said he "will be missing for a period of time", but he appeared as an unused substitute at the weekend. Expected return date: Was in the Torino squad at the weekend and looks likely to be available for the March friendly fixtures. | Getty Images Photo: Getty Images

12. Connor Barron - Rangers
The Gers midfielder has been absent since early January due to a knee injury, but is hoping he can have an impact in the coming weeks as the Ibrox giants chase a first league title since 2021. Expected return date: Due back sometime in March, he could be fit in time for the end of month friendlies. | SNS Group Photo: SNS Group
