Scotland went home early. England made the final again, but it was Spain who were destined to be the nation that were confirmed as champions of Euro 2024.
While Europe’s footballing icons Kylian Mbappe, Jude Bellingham and Harry Kane all got on the scoresheet in Germany, the most intriguing element of the tournament was perhaps how well some of the lesser known players performed. Like many major tournaments, Euro 2024 was been a stage where previously unknown players flourished and built a reputation that could see them grab big money moves this summer.

5. Vitinha - Portugal

6. Lamine Yamal - Spain
Just 17-years-old, the Barcelona teen has outperformed most of the players at the tournament. His goal in the semi final will be remembered for decades. 7. Pepe - Portugal
Likely to be his final tournament, the 41-year-old was vintage Pepe at Euro 2024 before Portugal were knocked out on penalties by France. Had an average rating of 7.71 due to his 94% passing accuracy, 466 touches and 84.6% aerial duel win rate. | Getty Images Photo: Getty Images

8. Cody Gakpo - Netherlands
The Liverpool attacker was impressive at the Euros and was is in line to win the Golden Boot until the Netherlands semi final defeat. He scored three goals in six games.
