Another final. Another familiar feeling of disappointment. England fans had hoped Euro 2024 was finally their time, but thanks to the excellence of Spain, it was not to be.
It was a strange tournament in many ways for England, just one win and two goals in the group stage, before they were saved by a 95th minute Jude Bellingham bicycle kick in the last 16 clash with Slovakia. A 2-1 semi final win over the Netherlands perhaps showcased the best of the Three Lions, but the late 2-1 defeat to Spain in the final was evidence of all their flaws. In some ways, England grew into the tournament, in others they never really got themselves going.
Harry Kane was poor throughout but ended the tournament sharing the Golden Boot award, while a number of fringe players showed their worth to England. But who was England’s stand out player at Euro 2024? Who enhanced their reputation - and who’s reputation took a hit?
Here how we rated all 26 England player’s at Euro 2024.

9. Harry Kane - 4
It feels bizarre to be handing out such a low rating for a man who shared the Golden Boot at the tournament, but the Bayern Munich hotshot was poor throughout. Was he fit? He certainly didn't look like the Harry Kane we know and that question will be asked for some time yet. | Richard Pelham Photo: Richard Pelham

10. Jude Bellingham - 6
Unplayable in the opening game against Serbia, his last minute bicycle kick in the last 16 was one of England's most euphoric moments at Euro 2024. He will be back in future tournaments and is one of the world's most talented players, but Bellingham didn't live up to his pre-tournament hype in Germany. | Getty Images Photo: Getty Images

11. Phil Foden - 4
Aside from 45 minutes against the Netherlands, the Manchester City player was extremely poor. Wasn't able to replicate his club form at Euro 2024 and left the tournament without a goal or an assist to his name. | AFP via Getty Images Photo: Getty Images

12. Kieran Trippier - 6
Started every game bar the Euro 2024 final for England, but in an unfamiliar position of left-back or left-wing back. Defensively, he was sound. However, the Three Lions suffered in an attacking sense with Trippier simply not as comfortable on the left-hand side. | AFP via Getty Images Photo: Getty Images
