Hibs state where they want to be after taking down Hearts and Aberdeen
O’Hora buoyed by strong recent results
Warren O’Hora is optimistic that Hibs’ season might be about to belatedly take off as they bid to make it three wins in a row for the first time this season.
The Hibees, who finished third last season, are currently fifth in the William Hill Premiership after being blighted by inconsistency in the first half of the campaign. But back-to-back home wins over Hearts and Aberdeen over the past week have kept Hibs within two points of fourth-placed Motherwell and four points of third-placed Rangers.
“Hopefully it is a bit of a catalyst now to make us kick on,” defender O’Hora said ahead of Saturday’s trip to struggling Kilmarnock. “We’re always looking forward, trying to catch the team in front, and Saturday we can do that again.

“The leaders, the seconds, the thirds, that’s somewhere that we want to be, no doubt about it, somewhere that we feel we should be, but we can’t get too ahead of ourselves. You can only go game by game. It’s important for us that we look at Saturday only, no further than that because that’s the next big thing that we need, we need the three points.”
Although Hibs’ first half of the season did not catch fire as they would have hoped, they are heartened by the fact they overcame a terrible start to last term before going on to finish third.
“It didn’t take much (for this season) to be a lot faster than last season’s start,” laughed O’Hora. “Looking back, obviously we had that massive run of 17 games unbeaten (in the league). Of course we take confidence from that, and knowing that we can do that.
“It’s important that we have to get a run of consistency going with results and performances. The last two games especially have been good and we need another one on Saturday.”
