Hibs agree compensation for 'exciting young Scottish talent' as tribunal avoided
Both clubs ‘satisfied’ with outcome of talks as fee agreed
Hibs have reached agreement with Dundee over a compensation package for the transfer of Josh Mulligan.
The 23-year-old midfielder, who can also play wing-back, joined the Easter Road club in the summer window following the expiry of his contract with the Dark Blues.
Mulligan has become a mainstay in the David Gray’s starting line-up, with stand-out performances leading to a first call-up to the senior Scotland squad ahead of last month’s World Cup qualifier against Belarus.

Dundee were entitled to a compensation payment from Hibs for a player that they developed through their academy from the age of eight.
The agreed fee - which amounts to a six-figure sum - means that an SFA tribunal has been avoided.
Hibs sporting director Malky Mackay said: "Josh is an exciting young Scottish talent and we have been pleased with his development since his arrival this summer. We look forward to seeing continued progression in his game.
“We would also like to thank Dundee for the amicable negotiations and agreed outcome.”
Mulligan has scored three goals in 20 appearances since joining Hibs after racking up 123 appearances for his boyhood club, scoring six times.
A Dundee statement added: “Both clubs have worked constructively to reach a settlement that reflects the considerable investment - in time and in coach development - that Dundee has made to help Josh establish himself in the Scottish Premiership.
“Whilst the terms of the agreement remain confidential, both sides are satisfied with the outcome.”
Dundee also lost out-of-contract midfielder Lyall Cameron to Rangers during the summer but no agreement has yet been reached with the Ibrox club over compensation for the 23-year-old.
