Hibs extended their unbeaten run to 15 matches and strengthened their European bid with a 2-1 win over city rivals Hearts at Easter Road.
Jack Iredale scored a stunning winner with his first goal for the club in the 74th minute to make it back-to-back Edinburgh derby wins for the Hibees for the first time since 2009 after Hearts midfielder Jorge Grant swiftly cancelled out Martin Boyle’s early opener.
In addition to boosting Hibs’ chances of finishing third in the William Hill Premiership, Iredale’s strike halted the momentum of Neil Critchley’s men, who had arrived in Leith buoyed by a run of just one defeat in 11 matches since they lost at home to the Hibees on Boxing Day.
Instead of potentially moving within a point of Hibs, the seventh-placed Jambos now face a scramble to ensure they make the top six over the next four matches before the split.
Here is how the Hibs and Hearts players rated out of 10 for their performance...
5. Rocky Bushiri
Has become a cult hero this season but his kamikaze first half was a throwback to the error-prone Rocky of old. Was at fault for Hearts' opener when he hesitated to deal with a bouncing ball then slashed a panicked clearance straight to Jorge Grant. Another poor clearance which ricocheted off Lawrence Shankland almost gifted Hearts a second. Recovered his composure to look more like his recent self in the second half. 5 | SNS Group
6. Michael Steinwender
Posted missing at Hibs opener, caught stepping forward as Martin Boyle raced in behind. Had a fine game thereafter but still looks to be settling into the pace of the Scottish game. 6 | SNS Group

7. Jack Iredale
Was already Hibs best defender on the day before turning into the unlikely derby matchwinner with a sensational volley from outside the box beyond Craig Gordon for his first Hibs goal. A moment to remember. 8 | SNS Group
8. Jamie McCart
Strolled the first half then made a number of good clearances in the second half as Hibs took control of the game. Did well to handle the physical presence of Kieron Bowie. 7 | SNS Group
