Scottish football transfer RECAP: Rangers winger joins Sunderland on loan, Chelsea star's brother heads to Fife, Aberdeen prepare for Sam Cosgrove exit

There are just three days to go before the transfer window closes, and business is beginning to pick up.
Already we have seen bids in for Hibs’ duo Kevin Nisbet and Ryan Porteous – but will they stay or will they go is a question that will be answered in the coming 72 hours.

And going too will be Celtic chief Peter Lawwell – but not quite as quickly. The Parkhead supremo’s departure was announced this morning and he will be replaced by Scottish Rugby’s Dominic McKay at the end of the season.
Meanwhile there’s football still being played – only not in the lower leagues. The SPFL League One and below – through to the SWPL and down to the juniors will continue their abeyance until at least February 14 – an extension of two weeks to the month-long sabbatical handed down by the SFA at the start of the year.
Therefore it’s only Premiership matches and Championship fixtures this weekend, which previously would have been a Scottish Cup weekend. Instead top-flight clubs are taking the opportunity to catch-up on previously postponed fixtures and there’s a full card of games in the second tier.
