Scotland goalkeeper departs Hearts on loan - 'different test for me'
Move to England could help boost World Cup ambitions
Hearts goalkeeper Zander Clark has sealed a loan move to Doncaster Rovers until the end of the season.
The 33-year-old lost his Hearts starting place following the arrival of German stopper Alexander Schwolow at the end of August and has been left out of matchday squads since Craig Gordon returned to fitness in September.
Clark, who has featured 76 times for the Tynecastle club since joining in 2022, will hope the move to the English League One club can boost his chances of making it to the World Cup this summer.
The former St Johnstone man has four Scotland caps and multiple call-ups, including as a member of the squad for Euro 2024.

“I’m delighted to be here,” Clark told the Doncaster website. "From hearing of the interest, it was done quickly. It's been a bit of a whirlwind few days, getting everything agreed and then getting down here.
"This will be a different sort of test for me, having been in Scotland for 17 years and I'm really looking forward to it."
Rovers goalkeeping coach Kyle Letheren added: “Zander has got great experience in Scotland. He’s somebody I know because I’m lucky to be young enough to have played against him in the past.
“He’s a big presence, he kicks the ball a long way and he’s a great shot stopper. We can really lean on his experience.
“I think it’s a great signing in a January window - you don’t often get the chance to sign an international goalkeeper at League One level and that’s exactly what we’re getting.”
