The left-back remains doubtful with a calf injury that has kept him out over the last few weeks. However, head coach Derek McInnes is hopeful he can return, confirming Milne was back running on Wednesday, adding that he was "not ruled out for the weekend" but has "got a bit to do".placeholder image

Hearts vs Motherwell injury news: 10 out and several doubts with Derek McInnes hopeful on two key men

Here is the latest team news ahead of Hearts v Motherwell in the Scottish Premiership at Tynecastle this weekend.

Hearts will look to maintain their lead at the top of the Scottish Premiership table as they welcome Motherwell to Tynecastle this Saturday (kick-off: 3pm).

Just one point ahead of Rangers going into the weekend, Derek McInnes’ side saw the gap at the top close last weekend when they dropped vital points in a 2-2 draw with Livingston at Almondvale.

However, a win over Motherwell this week would temporarily put them four points clear of Rangers, who play Falkirk just 24 hours later. While they could go six clear of Celtic, depending on how they fare at home to St Mirren on Saturday afternoon.

As for their visitors, Motherwell, Jens Berthel Askou’s side are without a win in four after a toiling March period. Last weekend’s 3-2 home defeat to Falkirk leaves them just three points ahead of Hibs in fifth, with their European aspirations under threat heading into the final six games of the campaign.
