The new Premier League season is now well underway, and there’s been plenty of strong performances as we approach gameweek four in the English top flight.
Cole Palmer, Martin Odegaard and Cody Gakpo have all begun the season with a flourish. However, Arsenal have put down an early marker with three consecutive wins as they look to defend their Premier League title.
Hull City’s impressive start has taken many by surprise, with two wins from three and goals conceded so far giving them confidence that they can avoid the drop this season, despite being the bookies’ favourite for relegation. However, fellow promoted side Coventry City are yet to pick a single point after a difficult start to the campaign.
As always, the start of a new season brings forth the highly anticipated Fantasy Premier League season. Have you started like a train and topped your friends and family league, or are you already in desperate need of points to avoid taking the wooden spoon come May? Whichever camp you fall into, we have all the tips of tricks ahead of gameweek four, as we name 8 players we recommend you transfer into your FPL squad this weekend.
Here are the top 8 transfers we recommend you make to your Fantasy Premier League squad this weekend:

1. Maxim De Cuyper - Brighton - 4.8m
Listed as a defender, but playing higher up the field for the Seagulls, De Cuyper is a must-pick based on his current form. Already on 24 FPL points for the season, the Belgian will be looking to add to his tally of one goal and one assist when Brighton visit struggling - and goalless - Coventry City this weekend. | Getty Images Photo: Getty Images

2. Alex Scott - AFC Bournemouth - 6.5m
The Cherries playmaker is emerging as a must-pick in the early days of the FPL, with the Englishman bagging 24 points for managers already this season. Bournemouth face a strong Brentford side at the Vitality this weekend, and Scott could be the difference between the two teams.

3. Cole Palmer - Chelsea - 9.7m
Can you realistically afford not to have Palmer on your side this weekend? Chelsea look like a different animal under Xabi Alonso this season, with the England international at the forefront. He has four goals and one assist in all competitions. Their weekend opponents, Hull City, are yet to concede a goal in the league, but the Blues and Palmer will severely test that record. | Adam Davy/PA Photo: Adam Davy/PA

4. Anan Khalaili - Crystal Palace - 5m
The Israeli wing-back has been impressive in his first two league games for the Eagles and is a strong bargain option to pick up steady defensive contribution points this weekend. Palace face an Ipswich Town side who have leaked seven goals in their last two games. | Getty Images
