David Goodwillie returns to football with Clyde

Former Scotland player David Goodwillie is set to return to senior football today by playing for SPFL League 2 side Clyde in their match at Cowdenbeath just less than three months after a judge ruled that he had raped a woman.

The 27-year-old striker left his last club, Plymouth Argyle, by mutual consent in January after Lord Armstrong ruled, in a civil action, that Goodwillie had raped Denise Clair on a night out January 2011.
