How to watch Falkirk v Celtic
Celtic will look to continue their recovery under Martin O’Neill when they travel to Falkirk in the Scottish Premiership on Wednesday night.
O’Neill steered Celtic to a comfortable 4-0 win over Dundee United on Saturday in his first match back in the dugout following the sacking of Wilfried Nancy.
The Northern Irishman had overseen a run of seven victories in eight matches during a spell as interim manager following the resignation of Brendan Rodgers in October.
He relinquished his post when Nancy was appointed in December, however, the Frenchman became the shortest-serving Celtic manager in history when he was dismissed last week after just 33 days in charge after losing five of his seven matches in charge.
As a result, Cetlic find themselves third in the table, six points behind leaders Hearts, although they can reclaim second place from Rangers with a win at Falkirk Stadium.
However, John McGlynn’s in-form Falkirk side will hope to inflict a first domestic setback on O’Neill this season after winning three of their last four matches. The Bairns have climbed into the top six and can move to within two points of fifth-placed Hibs with a win over the defending champions.
The two previous meetings between the sides this season, both at Parkhead, have ended in heavy defeats for Falkirk with Celtic claiming a 4-1 win in the Premier Sports Cup last 16 in August followed by a 4-0 victory in the league in October.
