Celtic's turbulent month under the management of head coach Wilfried Nancy is over following the 3-1 defeat by Rangers last weekend, with Martin O’Neill reinstalled as interim manager until the end of the campaign.
The 73-year-old’s second spell in charge this season, O’Neill will look to turn around Celtic’s stuttering campaign both domestically and in Europe, after seeing them lose six of the last eight games in all competitions under the Frenchman, whose spell in charge of the club lasted just 33 days.
Following his re-appointment on Monday, the popular manager admitted he was looking to add to his squad as soon as possible. "I think that we would have to supplement the squad in some capacity," said O'Neill. "We'll have to do that if it's at all possible. January transfer windows are difficult, difficult to get the players that you probably want at the football club but we do need to supplement it and we're going all out to try and do that."
But how could O’Neill’s Celtic team look come the start of February if the recent transfer rumours turn out to be accurate?
Here, The Scotsman assess what a Celtic dream team would look like if the recent transfer rumours are true - though, that can never be guaranteed, with twists and turns certain in the winter window.
