Celtic experienced one of their more turbulent transfer windows in the summer, with former head Brendan Rodgers frustrated in his attempt to add numbers to his squad, culminating in a disastrous deadline day search for a striker.
A summer of change saw Nicolas Kuhn and Adam Idah become the two big-money departures from Parkhead, as they left Celtic to join Como and Swansea City, respectively. However, Celtic’s perceived failure to address holes in their squad seemingly led to a breakdown between Rodgers and the board, culminating in the former’s resignation following a 3-1 defeat to Hearts in October and the appointment of Wilfried Nancy in December.
Long-serving players Greg Taylor and Scott Bain also waved goodbye to the Scottish champions upon the expiry of their contracts in the summer, while several of the club’s youngsters went out to gain valuable experience on loan.

10. Adam Montgomery - Livingston (loan)
Played regular first team football for David Martindale's side in the opening throws of the campaign, but saw his progress curtailed by a calf injury in October. 11. Kwon Hyeok-kyu - Nantes
The South Korean spent more time away from Celtic on loan, taking in spells with St Mirren and Hibs, before opting to depart permanently to join Nantes in the summer. Kwon has featured fairly regularly, but is on course to be relegated to the second tier, with his side second bottom of Ligue 1 and three points adrift of safety, having won just two of their opening 16 league games. | SNS Group Photo: SNS Group

12. Lenny Agbaire - Rotherham United
Having spent the second half of last season on loan at Ayr United, the young centre-back moved across the border to sign for Rotherham United. In an unexpected season of struggle, Agbaire has played just six times for the Millers, who are stuck in 22nd place and facing relegation to the fourth tier. | Jim Brailsford Photo: Jim Brailsford
