Celtic will aim to continue their perfect start to the new season as they visit Dundee United in the Premier Sports Cup second round at Tannadice on Saturday (kick-off: 5.45pm).
Martin O’Neill’s men have got off to an excellent start in the league, beating Dundee on opening day before thumping Kilmarnock 5-1 last weekend, with record signing Kasper Hogh bagging a first-half hat-trick at Rugby Park. New signings Mika Baur and Haissem Hassan will both be aiming to make their debuts in the second-round clash, having joined the club earlier this week.
As for their hosts, Dundee United, they will be hoping to respond to last week’s 4-0 thrashing against Hearts at Tynecastle. Having picked up an impressive points against Rangers on opening day, Jim Goodwin’s side were not at the races in the capital and will be looking to respond against the champions.
