Celtic v Roma injury news: 12 out as trio target timely return for crucial Europa League clash at Parkhead

The latest team news ahead of Celtic v Roma in the Europa League this Thursday.

Wilfried Nancy will look to secure his first win as Celtic head coach as he welcomes Roma to Parkhead for a crucial Europa League clash at Parkhead on Thursday evening (kick-off: 8pm).

The 48-year-old was named as Brendan Rodgers’ permanent successor last Wednesday, but suffered a damaging defeat in his first game in charge as they fell to a 2-1 defeat to title rivals Hearts at Parkhead on Sunday. Currently sitting in 21st position in the Europa League table, the Frenchman will be eyeing a big win as the club looks to progress to the knockout stages of the tournament.

Their visitors also come into the game on the back of a tough result, with their 1-0 defeat to Cagliari seeing them fall four points behind Serie A leaders Napoli in fourth. Heading into the game in Glasgow, the Giallorossi head coach, Gian Piero Gasperini, is still expected to be without some of his key players, with Artem Dovbyk not expected to return to the squad with an injury he picked up last month. They enter the game in 15th place, having won just three of their opening five games.
