Martin O'Neill’s final European match in charge of Celtic proved a memorable one as as the interim manager led his team to a 3-1 win over Feyenoord in Rotterdam.
Goals from Yang Hyun-jun and Reo Hatate saw Celtic come from behind before half-time and substitute Benjamin Nygren added a late third as the Scottish champions kick-started their Europa League campaign.
It was their first away win in Europe since victory over Ferencvaros under Ange Postecoglou four years ago and their first in the Netherlands since a 3-1 win over Ajax in O'Neill's first Champions League qualifier in charge in 2001.
The 73-year-old is expected to make way for Wilfried Nancy before Roma visit Celtic Park on December 11 and will leave them with a platform to enjoy another run in the competition. The Hoops now have seven points and also play Bologna and Utrecht in the league phase.

Nothing the Dane could do about Feyenoord's opener but a briliant save at 1-1 proved vital and provided the platform for Celtic to go on and win the match. 7 | Ritzau Scanpix/AFP via Getty Ima

2. Colby Donovan
A real coming-of-age performance from the Scotland Under-21 right-back at a hostile European ground. His inexperience showed at times but made up for it with physicality, endeavour and moments of quality on the ball - including helping to set up the clinching third goal. Celtic have a prospect on their hands. 8 | AP

3. Kieran Tierney
Caught trying to play offside at the Feyenoord opener when he should have tracked the run. Not much going forward from the Scotland hero but a solid defensive shift before his 70th minute withdrawal. 7 | Getty Images

4. Auston Trusty
Made a superb block after 10 minutes only to embark on an ill-advised charge up the pitch that left him out of position for the Feyenoord opener. Defended solidly thereafter to help Celtic to a famous European away win. 7 | Getty Images
