Celtic were soundly defeated 3-1 by Midtjylland in the Europa League on a tough night on the continent.
The in-form Danes easily brushed aside the Scottish champions at the MCH Arena and could easily have won by more. They peppered the Celtic goal with 23 strikes, of which three found the net.
Celtic were undone in a wretched spell between 34 and 41 minutes. Martin Erlic headed home the opener, Mikel Gorgoza curled in a second a minute later and the prolific Franculino netted another not long after to put the game to bed.
Midtjylland took their foot off the gas in the second period. Celtic were awarded a penalty on 80 minutes after Callum Osmand was fouled and Reo Hatate slid in the effort. The night ended in more pain, however, when Osmand was stretchered off with what looked like a serious hamstring injury.
Celtic are on four points after four matches and their hopes of progress to the knock-out stages hang in the balance at the halfway stage of the competition.
Here are the marks out of ten for the Celtic players in Herning:

1. Kasper Schmeichel
Made some good saves to keep the score down, the pick being a point-blank stop from Cho. No chance with any other goals. Completely let down by those in front of him. 6 | Ritzau Scanpix/AFP via Getty Ima

2. Anthony Ralston
Given a going-over by Gorgoza for the first two goals. Took a sore one right in the napper. Lacked protection from Forrest in front of him. A rubbish night for the tormented right-back. 4 | SNS Group

3. Liam Scales
Walked a tightrope from the 13th minutes onwards after picking up a yellow card. Struggled with movement and fluency of Midtjylland's forward line. 4 | Ritzau Scanpix/AFP via Getty Ima

4. Auston Trusty
Was Celtic's chief resistor until the Danes finally broke the deadlock. Probably Celtic's best defender - but that's not saying much. 5 | Ritzau Scanpix/AFP via Getty Ima
