Celtic exit confirmed as clause triggered and club transfer record broken - 'exceptional quality'
26-year-old departs Parkhead after spending season out on loan
Celtic have earned their first transfer fee of the summer after Lech Poznan triggered their option to buy winger Luis Palma in a club record deal.
The Honduras international spent last season on loan at the Polish club where his 10 goals and six assists helped contribute towards a second successive league title win.
Palma joined Celtic from Greek side Aris in a £3.5million transfer in the summer of 2023 and enjoyed a fruitful first season at the club, with 10 goals and 10 assists in 36 appearances.
However, his game-time dwindled the following campaign and he was shipped out on loan to Olympiacos in the winter transfer window of 2025, although the Greeks decided not to take up their option-to-buy.

Palma remained out of favour at Celtic and was loaned ot Lech Poznan, where performances of "exceptional quality" have convinced the club to break their transfer record by triggering his £3.5million buyout clause.
It means Celtic have recouped the transfer fee paid for the 26-year-old, who has signed a four-year contract with the Ekstraklasa side, keeping him in Poland until the summer of 2030.
Lech Poznań's sporting director Tomasz Rząsa said: "We had a buyout clause in our loan agreement with Scottish side Celtic FC. Therefore, the decision was ours from the start. We are pleased to announce that on Wednesday, June 3rd, we activated this clause, and Luis Palma officially became our player until June 30th, 2029. Understandably, we cannot disclose the exact fees, as they are confidential, but I can confirm that this is our record transfer to the club.
"Luis's achievements were impossible to ignore; he quickly integrated into the team and delivered exceptional quality on the pitch. The statistics confirm this. However, we were calm about all the speculation surrounding our player, knowing we held all the cards. That's why we waited until the end of the season and, after careful analysis, decided to acquire the winger from Celtic. We hope he continues to perform as well as he has so far and will help us from the start of the season, as we already face important challenges, such as the Champions League qualifiers. We are working hard to have the strongest possible squad during pre-season."
