Celtic fans got themselves something rare in season 2020/21 – a game involving their side they could truly enjoy.
David Martindale’s visitors were a tough proposition in the early going as they game raged from end to end and Celtic looked a little insure of how to play through the press.
However, once James Forrest opened the scoring the floodgates soon opened. David Turnbull added another soon after and when Scott Brown’s header was inadvertently turned home by Jack Fitzwater the game was done.
That wasn’t the end of the scoring, though. Mohamed Elyounoussi, in a starring performance, then netted a double before Ryan Christie climbed off the bench to add the sixth.

Wasn't up against much in terms of a threat but handled everything well that did come his way. Keep it simple and accurate with his passing. Photo: Ross Parker - SNS Group

Forced the third goal by attacking a corner and seeing his header go in off Jack Fitzwater. A strong performance overall in front of the back four. Photo: Craig Foy - SNS Group

His return made Celtic a much more dangerous prospect. Scored the opener and remained a threat until forced off through injury. Photo: Ross MacDonald - SNS Group

More like the McGregor of old, constantly driving his side forward and probing the opposition with his passing. Photo: Craig Foy - SNS Group
