Celtic’s season has been one of their most turbulent in recent memory and has left the defending champions clinging to their Scottish Premiership crown.
Currently trailing league leaders Hearts by five points, a campaign of tumult in the dugout saw Brendan Rodgers walk out on the club in October, before Wilfried Nancy was sacked in January after an ill-fated 33-day spell in charge. In between, veteran manager Martin O’Neill has taken the reins on an interim basis and will remain in the post until the end of the season.
The 74-year-old is almost certain to step aside in the summer, though, with the Celtic board tasked with finding a new head coach who will lead them into a new era. Alongside appointing a new manager, the club are expected to perform an overhaul on their playing squad as they aim to return to their dominant best in the seasons ahead.
With movement anticipated in the summer transfer window, The Scotsman take a look at the 17 players who could leave Celtic at the end of the season:

1. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain
The England international signed a deal until the end of the season in February, and enjoyed a perfect start to life at Celtic by scoring a last-minute winner in a 2-1 win over Livingston. There's an option to extend his deal at the end of the campaign, but that is far from certain to happen as it stands. | SNS Group Photo: SNS Group

2. Michel-Ange Balikwisha
Signed last summer for a reported fee of £5million, the Belgian winger has flattered to deceive at Parkhead and has completely fallen out of favour. Has played just once since the turn of the year, and his Celtic career looks destined to be over before it's even begun. Feels likely to depart in the summer. | Getty Images Photo: Getty Images

3. Kelechi Iheanacho
While he's shown glimpses of quality in a Celtic shirt, his injury issues have curtailed any progress he's made at the club. Out of contract in the summer, he's been left out of the squad in recent weeks, and it feels increasingly likely that he’ll move on in the summer. | SNS Group Photo: SNS Group

4. Arne Engels
Subject of a £25million bid from Nottingham Forest on deadline day, the Belgium international midfielder could find himself in demand again when the summer transfer window comes around. | SNS Group Photo: SNS Group
