Test found ‘prohibited substance contained in an herbal supplement available in Asia’

It read: “Green tested positive for a prohibited substance contained in an herbal supplement, available in Asia, which he took as a therapeutic treatment to treat a medical condition.

“His suspension commenced retrospectively from 5 December, 2025, meaning he is eligible to return to competition on 5 March, 2026.

He has ‘co-operated fully’ with the tour

“He has also been disqualified retrospectively from the 2025 Danish Golf Championship, the tournament where the doping control test was taken.

“Green has co-operated fully with the Tour throughout the process and accepted the suspension. The Tour will have no further comment on the suspension at this time.”

Players are randomly selected for drug testing at tournaments run by the European Tour Group.

Green has played more than 220 events on the DP World Tour since his first full season in 2018. The 32-year-old finished a career-high 31st in the Race to Dubai in 2022.
