Bob MacIntyre aims to 'rinse and repeat' after facing 'west coast battle' in US
Scot delivers verdict on second phase of his 2026 campaign and season so far
Bob MacIntyre has described the second phase of his 2026 season as a “battle” but is hoping to hit the ground running when he returns to PGA Tour action with a big double-header in Florida.
In his first trip since becoming a new dad, the Oban man finished joint-37th in the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro Am then tied for 20th in The Genesis Invitational at Riviera Country Club in Los Angeles.
He’s now returned home to spend some time with his partner Shannon and their new son, Findlay, before getting back down to business in next week’s Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill then The Players Championship at TPC Sawgrass the following week.

In his first two outings of the new season on the US circuit, MacIntyre finished joint-fourth in the Sony Open in Hawaii before ending up joint-38th in The American Express.
For 16 rounds, he’s an accumulative 48 under par and has signed for ten scores in the 60s, including a 63.
The 28-year-old sits eighth in the Official World Golf Ranking, having been up to a career-best fifth following his Sony Open effort. He’s 29th, meanwhile, on the FedEx Cup points list.
‘Better start to year than last year’
“Been a battle on the west coast,” wrote MacIntyre in a post on social media. “On a positive note, it’s a better start to the year than last year. Also felt a change in my game over the weekend.”
Depending on how he fares in the Arnold Palmer Invitational and The Players Championship, the 29-year-old might also play in the Valspar Championship in Florida.
He had already decided, though, to add the Valero Texas Open to his pre-Masters schedule this year, so will be teeing up at TPC San Antonio the week before heading to Augusta National.
“Searching for something new isn’t normally the answer,” he added in his post, saying that he intended to “rinse and repeat” going forward.
