From Concept to Craftsmanship
Founded in 2017, Rakkaus Furniture Ltd began as a passion project rooted in a love for clean lines, functional design, and the belief that workspaces should inspire. “The name ‘Rakkaus’ means ‘love’ in Finnish,” Christopher explains. “It reflects our commitment to creating spaces people genuinely enjoy spending time in.”
What started as a small operation quickly grew into a full-service fit-out company, offering everything from bespoke furniture to complete office transformations. Today, Rakkaus serves clients across Ayrshire, Glasgow, Edinburgh, and soon Newcastle, with plans to expand further afield.
Designing for people, not just spaces
At the heart of Rakkaus is a people-first philosophy. “We don’t just install desks and chairs,” says Christopher. “We design environments that foster creativity, wellbeing, and productivity.”

While Rakkaus is expanding its footprint, Ayrshire remains its home and heart. “We’re proud to be based in Kilmarnock,” Christopher says. “It’s where we started, and it’s where we’re investing in local talent and partnerships.”
