Charlene Duthie has dedicated over 25 years to roles centred around Recruitment and the labour market and set up Ignite over a year ago. Geographically she specialises in the North East of Scotland, but job-wise she covers any onshore employment large or small, skilled and unskilled, permanent and temporary.

“I’m absolutely passionate about this job,” says Charlene who recruits for large employers as well as local SMEs – no job is too big or small.

“Whether someone needs a labourer for two weeks or a Global HSE Manager I can find them the right person. They might be paying £12 an hour or £90k a year, I make it my mission to find the right match for the job.”

Charlene spent more than 20 years working for a job centre, then a few years at a recruitment agency before being made redundant.

“It was just before my 40th birthday,” she said. “So, I thought ‘life begins at 40’ I’ll do this on my own.”
