Select Grand Tour of Ireland:
Immerse yourself in this glorious country with this fun and fascinating foray into Ireland’s past and present. Uncover Dublin’s delights on a guided tour before visiting the Irish Emigration Museum for a delve into history. You’ll sightsee aboard the Kilkenny Land Train, taking in the sights and perhaps singing along to a few famous Irish tunes.
Wandering around wonderful Waterford’s atmospheric lanes is a delight, and you can feel the sand between your toes on Dungarvan’s beautiful beach. There’s more heritage to discover at Bunratty Castle and Folk Park and you can explore the compact harbour city of Galway on a guided walking tour. Fans of John Wayne’s classic 1952 film The Quiet Man film can tread in his famous footsteps in quaint Cong, where it was filmed, then browse the gift shops in Castlebar.

Walking the streets of the Georgian town of Westport is a step back in time, and there’s more history to uncover at the National Museum of Ireland – Country Life, which is home to all things Irish and set in parkland featuring an ornamental lake and gothic mansion. See the landscape W.B. Yeats described, and cruise on Lough Gill aboard the Rose of Innisfree before free time in the port town of Sligo completes our Irish adventure.
This is a ‘Select’ graded touring holiday with Door to Door service and you’ll stay at a series of handpicked 3 and 4 star hotels. Discover more of the Grand Tour of Ireland here
Irish Cities: Dublin & Belfast
Dubin’s fair city awaits on this tour – but it’s just one part of a trio of Irish cities and excursions to the picturesque coastal resort of Newcastle, and the ancient town of Downpatrick.
Based in the heart of Newry, a city resting on the banks of Britain’s oldest manmade water, Newry Canal, you’ll stay at the Canal Court Hotel and Spa. Newry, set amongst the magnificent Mourne Mountains, it is known as the gateway to the north. History-lovers should know it is home to the Bagenal’s Castle and Newry & Mourne Museum, while fans of a bit of retail therapy will be delighted to browse The Quays and The Buttercrane shopping centre.

The holidays are a well-crafted blend of organisation and pre-planning and freedom to suit the independent traveller. Most tours will include plenty of time to explore at your own pace but also some pre-booked attractions with guides and excursions to ensure you don’t miss the bucket-list ‘must see’ destinations.

Glenton’s executive coaches offer those travelling a high vantage point for enjoying every moment of the journey, so that you can make the most of the sights en route. The seats are built for comfort and relaxing and there are toilets on board – but with regular comfort breaks every couple of hours there is plenty of opportunity to stretch your legs.
Hotels are carefully selected for quality of facilities and service. Many are rated four star, or will be smaller family-run three star accommodation
