Glasgow Schools: Bellahouston Academy shut 'until further notice' due to burst water main

A Glasgow high school will be closed today until further notice after an incident involving a burst water main.
Bellahouston Academy, on the city’s southside, will be shut for the whole day after a water main burst on Thursday night.

It is understood Glasgow City Council confirmed the closure, saying that the burst water main has meant that the water tank is empty which is a health and safety issue.
A spokesperson for the council continued and said that the issue took place last night and came to light this morning once teachers begun arriving at the school.
It is currently unknown when the issue will be resolved.
