Warning over bogus callers
Scottish Water is advising customers across Midlothian to be on their guard following a number of bogus caller incidents.
Householders are being urged to follow the “Three Cs” rule – card, check and call.
When they receive a cold call from anyone claiming to be from Scottish Water, or another utility, they should not open the door without the caller’s ID card or letter – this should be passed through the letter box.
