Room Aromas, A UK-based room aroma store, conducted the study revealing the most and least peaceful cities across the UK.
Spokesman Toby Branston said: “Where you live has a huge impact on your daily stress levels.
“Air quality, airport noise, population density, and access to peaceful walking spaces all combine to shape how calm or chaotic daily life feels.”
Naming Dundee as the most peaceful city in the UK, they added: “Dundee represents what a lot of people are looking for when they think about peaceful living.
“The combination of clean air and a manageable population size means less congestion, less noise, and more space to breathe.
“It's proof that you don't need to be isolated to find tranquillity.”
Researchers gathered data from 2024 to 2025 on the number of airports, population size, Air Quality Index (AQI), and walking tour availability from OurAirports, World Population Review, IQAir, and Tripadvisor.
Each factor was weighted at 0.25 and combined using min-max normalisation to create scores from 0 to 100, with higher scores indicating more peaceful environments.
Here are the top ten most peaceful areas in the UK, according to Room Aromas...
