A very merry Christmas to all our readers and thank you to all of you who have shared your pictures with us over the year. It is wonderful to see Scotland through your eyes. As the seasons change your images capture the views and the wildlife in all their glory.
Each day The Scotsman publishes a picture of Scotland by contributors to our Readers Gallery. Throughout winter, spring, summer and autumn, from the Highlands to the Scottish Borders we bring you the finest selection of Scotland’s most beautiful scenery. If you would like to contribute, send your pictures to [email protected]. Be sure to include the subject and location where the photo was taken. Thank you

9. John Cossar was a printer and publisher of newspapers including the Govan Press and the Clydebank Press. His Press Buildings in Govan Road feature sculptures of famous people from printing and literature like Caxton, Guttenberg and Robert Burns, but also this sculpture of John and Mary Cossar themselves- well it was their building!
