The best car parks for Edinburgh and Glasgow airports - as rated by Which?
An official airport car park was top in Edinburgh but an off-site operator was voted best in Glasgow
Off-site airport car parks scored better than all but one of the official ones at Edinburgh and beat all of Glasgow's, according to a new survey by consumer group Which?
However, FastTrack, operated by Edinburgh Airport, was the best rated place to leave your vehicle at Scotland’s busiest terminal.
Its 83 per cent satisfaction score was also the highest among 46 official car parks at 11 UK airports.

That was followed by off-site PremiAir, operated by NCP beside the A8 junction to the airport, with 77 per cent, and Secure Airparks, on the western edge of the airport complex, at 76 per cent.
The airport’s terminal parking scored 73 per cent, with its multi-storey given 72 per cent, mid stay 71 per cent and long stay 63 per cent.
Secure Airparks was also chosen as a Which? recommended provider for “combining good value with high quality service, and providing travellers with a smooth experience when dropping off their car and travelling to and from the terminal”.
But both Secure and PremiAir were found to be more expensive than the airport’s long stay car park, with a sample weekday price in August at around £85 compared to some £55.
At Glasgow Airport, off-site operator Flying Scot in Paisley was rated best with 75 per cent, with the airport’s mid stay and terminal multi-storey car parks next with 72 per cent, followed by its long stay at 70 per cent.
Flying Scot was also the cheapest, with a sample August weekday charge of around £50 compared to some £59 at the airport’s long stay.
Off-site operators also scored better than official airport parking at Belfast, Leeds Bradford, Gatwick, Heathrow, Luton and Manchester
The ratings were based on customer satisfaction and whether they would recommend the car park.
Which? advised passengers to pay by credit card for extra protection if they were spending more than £100 on parking, as claims could be made under section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act if the service was not satisfactory.
It also recommended checking the grace period before booking in case a flight was delayed.
It said providing a buffer by booking extra time beyond when the return flight was due to arrive might not cost any more.
Which? travel expert Guy Hobbs said: “Flying Scot came top of our survey at Glasgow, and was reasonably priced when we checked.
“We recommend Secure Airparks, which operates at Edinburgh. But it's worth shopping around to see if you can get a better deal with official airport parking, or other well-rated offsite brands.”
More people travelled to Edinburgh Airport in 2025 by bus or tram than used a car park for the first time for years, with public transport accounting for 39.6 per cent of journeys compared to 38.4 per cent that involved parking.
A total of 8.2 per cent travelled by coaches and 5.2 per cent by taxi, with 6 per cent using rental cars.
The airport increased its drop-off and pick-up charge from £6 to £8.50 in May.
A spokesperson for Edinburgh Airport said: “Our on-site parking continues to perform well, with consistent scores across our products.
“We look to provide choice and we would always recommend passengers book as far in advance as possible to get the best deal.”
