North Lanarkshire Crash: Delays after early morning crash restricts M73 road northbound
Emergency services are on the scene.
Motorists on a busy road in North Lanarkshire are experiencing delays after an early morning crash.
The M73 northbound between junction 2 and junction 2a is restricted after emergency services were called to the scene around 7.37am.
Details of how many vehicles were involved in the crash are currently not know. It is also not known if there have been any serious injuries.
Traffic Scotland are reporting delays of around 16 minutes.
A post from Traffic Scotland on social media read: “The M73 is currently restricted northbound between junction 2A- 1 due to a road traffic incident Lane 2 is currently blocked.
“Vehicles queueing from the M74 as a result.
