Boy, 8, injured as industrial vehicle collides with Glasgow bus

An eight-year-old boy escaped with minor injuries after part of an industrial vehicle pierced the top deck of a Glasgow bus during a collision.
The incident took place on Pollokshaws Road in the south side of Glasgow around 10am this morning.
Police said the injured boy was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where he was checked over.
The vehicle which pierced the First Bus Glasgow service is reported to be a pavement milling machine.

Pollokshaws Road was closed between its junction with Kilmarnock Road and Eastwood Avenue while emergency services attended the scene.
The bus driver has been reported to the Procurator Fiscal. Police Scotland said it had sent a report about a 43-year-old man over alleged road traffic offences.
