Edinburgh Trams: Trams delayed after early hours 'police incident' on Princes Street
Trams are running behind schedule after a police incident on Princes Street in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
Just before 5am a spokesperson for Edinburgh Trams said services were only running from Edinburgh Airport to the West End due to the incident in the city centre, with ticket acceptance in place for buses.
An hour later, in an update on X, Edinburgh Trams said full services had resumed but warned passengers of possible disruption.
A spokesperson said: “Full service has resumed, there will be extended wait times until we get back to our timetable on this Tuesday morning.
“Once again, please accept our apologies for any disruption to your journey this morning.”
Police Scotland has been contacted about the incident.
