Six more youths charged after horror bus driver assault at Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh
Six more young people have been charged following an alleged assault of a bus driver by a large group of youths at the Royal Infirmary in Edinburgh.
Police were called to Little France Crescent, where Lothian Buses services to the hospital stop, at around 6.50pm on Sunday, April 5.
They reported that a 53-year-old man, later identified as a Lothian Buses driver, was taken to hospital to be assessed by medical staff after an alleged attack by a group of young people.

Two youths were charged at the time but, following enquiries, a further six individuals have been identified and charged in connection, bringing the total number to eight.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said those involved will be reported to the relevant authorities.
Chief Superintendent David Robertson said: “This was an unprovoked attack on a man who was simply trying to do his job.
“Violent incidents like this will not be tolerated in our community, and we will ensure that those who do engage in this type of behaviour are brought to justice.
“We will continue to work with our partner agencies and would encourage anyone with information or concerns of this type of behaviour to call Police Scotland on 101.”
