Scott McTominay mural of incredible Scotland overhead kick goal unveiled in full
Scotland is now preparing to compete in the World Cup.
A mural of midfielder Scott McTominay’s overhead kick which helped send Scotland to World Cup has appeared near Hampden Park.
In November of last year, Steve Clarke’s side cemented their spot at the biggest tournament in football for the first time in 28 years.
Scotland is now preparing to set up camp at the home of Charlotte FC in North Carolina for the duration of the World Cup.
The artwork, which is being painted in partnership with Adidas and the SFA, has appeared on the side of a building on Somerville Drive which isn’t far from where the unforgettable moment took place.
The goal has already been commemorated on the canvas through a photograph by Ross MacDonald.

It is hoped that the latest mural dedicated to Napoli star McTominay, whose face can be seen on walls throughout Naples, will be finished this weekend.
Lee Bofkin, Global Street Art CEO and co-founder told STV: “We’re honoured to have been asked to paint this mural celebrating Scott McTominay’s incredible overhead kick, which helped take Scotland to the FIFA World Cup this year.
“We hope the fans enjoy seeing this moment immortalised in paint, 36ft high in the city of Glasgow.”
