The Jesus and Mary Chain and The Psychedelic Furs have announced two Scottish shows as part of their 2027 co-headline tour.
The iconic shoegaze and post-punk rockers are set to perform in both Glasgow and Edinburgh after kicking off the run of eight shows in Leeds next January. It follows the bands’ successful co-headline tour of the US in 2024.
Scottish brothers Jim and William Reid formed The Jesus and Mary Chain in 1983, helping to transform the alternative music scene with their influential debut album which contained hits such as Just Like Honey. They released their most recent record, Glasgow Eyes, two years ago.
Meanwhile, The Psychedelic Furs helped redefine art and punk after English brothers Richard and Tim Butler formed the band in 1977. Best known for songs such as Love My Way and Heaven, they will be accompanied by touring band members Rich Good, Amanda Kramer, Zachary Alford and Peter DiStefano.
