Exclusive:Donald Trump 'more than welcome' to join Tartan Army at World Cup, says Stephen Flynn
The SNP Westminster leader said he “would prefer to go to the games with his mates” if he was offered a ticket to sit with the US President.
Donald Trump is “more than welcome” to join Scotland fans “for a sing-song in the pub” at the World Cup, Stephen Flynn has said.
The SNP Westminster leader said “would prefer to go to the games with his mates” if he was offered a ticket to sit with the US President.
But the Aberdeen South MP said the Tartan Army “could try and teach” Mr Trump some of the Scotland songs if he joined them at the pub after the game.

The US President’s mother was from the Isle of Lewis and he owns golf courses in Ayrshire and Aberdeenshire.
Mr Flynn is a keen Scotland supporter who follows the team at home and abroad.
He is travelling to Boston and Miami “with most of the folk we usually go to games with” for Scotland’s matches against Haiti, Morocco and Brazil in June.
But when asked if he would go to the matches with Mr Trump if offered, Mr Flynn said: “I would prefer to go to the games with my mates, because that's how I enjoy the football. It's what I do.
“When I go and see Dundee United, I go and see my mate and my dad and my brother and my wee one.
“And when I go to Scotland games, I go to be with the guys who I know are as passionate as I am, and I've got a feeling that Donald won't be up for for a few beers before the game.
“He probably won't know some of the songs we could try and teach him, but he's more of a dancer than a singer, from what I can tell.
“So it's probably best that I stick with with my mates.
“But look, if he wants to, if he wants to come and join us for a sing song in the pub, he's he's more than welcome to do so.”
Mr Flynn said he is applying for Scotland Supporter’s Club tickets for the group matches and the last 32 - if Scotland make it that far.
But he said he would not go to any more games even if the team makes it that far: “Beyond that, I won't, because it's just a scam.
“FIFA are making you pay up front. They keep your money and then they charge you for giving your money back if you don't qualify.
“The onus and the pressure being put on fans as a disgrace, and I know we need to just repeatedly keep calling that out.”
He said some of his friends have been “struggling” to cover the massive costs of travel, accommodation and tickets.
But added he that he “doesn’t want to miss it” because he has been attending Scotland away games for “the best part of 20 years.”
Mr Flynn said: “I know a couple of boys are struggling with it, because the costs are absolutely eye watering. I mean, a hotel room in Boston is costing more than a ton of flights. In many cases, it's absolutely it's nuts.
“It's not justifiable, and fans are being fleeced, left, right and centre.
“I just don't want to, I just don't want to miss it, given that I’ve been going to away games since I was 18 or 19, the best part of 20 years now, and who knows when we'll get there again.”
