Person taken to hospital after fire breaks out at Edinburgh flats

One person has been taken to hospital after a blaze broke out at an Edinburgh building.

Emergency services were called to the scene in Dumbeg Park, Wester Hailes, shortly before 10pm on Wednesday, March 25.

Three fire engines and a height appliance tackled the fire for around three hours and left the scene at 1am. An ambulance and two special operations response teams were also in attendance.

The fire service were called to flats in Wester Hailes last night.

One person was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh for treatment. Their condition is currently unknown.
