Edinburgh traffic: Part of George Street closed for three days for emergency repairs

Two Lothian Buses services are diverted for the duration of the works

A section of George Street could be closed for up to three days for emergency road works.

The street is currently closed to eastbound traffic between Hanover Street and St Andrew Square, according to Edinburgh’s Council’s travel team.

They said a manhole was in need of urgent repair and work could take a couple of days.

Meanwhile, the Scottish Roadworks Commissioner said the repairs, which started on Monday, would take an estimated three days.
