How you can travel through time with Doctor Who's Tardis

An online auction of Doctor Who memorabilia may prove to be rather popular

Given it was first broadcast in November 1963, generations of people have grown up with Doctor Who. So the chance to buy a sonic screwdriver, a Dalek or even your very own Tardis may well cause some rather large ripples in the fabric of space and time.

All the Doctor Who memorabilia being put up for sale in an online auction, run by Propstore, will start at £100 (with 20 per cent of the hammer proceeds going to Children in Need). Some have Scottish connections – that sonic screwdriver was wielded by Ncuti Gatwa during his time as the Doctor, and an outfit worn by Karen Gillan as Amy Pond is also up for grabs.

However, it’s probably fair to say that the Tardis will fetch quite a bit more, even if its time machine turns out to be faulty. You could always buy the sonic screwdriver to try to fix it or, better still, put it out in the garden and simply watch time go by at the normal speed with a cup of tea and maybe a Jelly Baby or two.
